If you look at a trader, he or she is looking to make a decision as to what they want to trade, and then how do you execute?
When you want to know what you want to trade, you need to understand: what is my position, what is my average cost, what is my P&L, what is my macro view, what is my micro view. Making that information available to traders, so that they can very quickly find out what their positions are, what their costs are, what their P&L is and how they have come to where they are, is very, very important.
Then, how do you go to trading? Multiple venues, multiple protocols. It gets confusing. Do I trade out of a queue? Do I send out a quote? Do I respond to an RFQ? Do I do list trading? Do I do portfolio trading? The same security, trading multiple different ways on multiple different venues. You need a tool that can bring all of that together as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
We set out and said: how can we get into how a trader thinks and operates in the market, and make it efficient for them? Because the more efficient they are, the more money they will make.
